This past week, the State Board of Education and the State School Superintendent made two separate proposals for how the state of Georgia should proceed with End-of-Course Testing (EOC) during the COVID-19 pandemic and the rest of the 2020-2021 school year.

State Superintendent Richard Woods recommended that the EOC, which is usually worth 20% of a student's grade, should be lowered to just 0.01% for the 2020-2021 school year.

The State Board of Education, in a split vote, disagreed and instead proposed that the EOC's be weighted to 10% of the student's grade for the 2020-2021 school year.

It may be helpful for you, and will directly impact your child's education during the 2020-2021 school year, to provide input on how you feel these tests should be weighted.

The survey below includes three questions, takes less than 3 minutes to complete, and can be accessed if you click here to provide your feedback on the EOC course grade weight for 2020-2021.
