We’re thrilled to celebrate Addison Elementary for being recognized as a Literacy Leader in reading by the Georgia Department of Education! This achievement highlights the remarkable progress our 3^rd grade students have made on the Reading Georgia Milestones scores from 2022-2023 to 2023-2024.

A huge thank you to our dedicated teachers and hardworking students who made these gains possible, as well as to everyone who supported us along the way. We’re grateful for the partnership of our PTA, Foundation, and community—your support has been invaluable in reaching this milestone.

Special recognition also goes to Georgia Schools Superintendent Richard Woods for acknowledging Addison Elementary and the 16 other Cobb Schools who achieved this distinguished award. Congratulations to all!
