Below are the directions for parents to use to opt students in to use a Cobb County School District laptop for instructional purposes. Students are responsible for bringing their charged laptops to school every day. Students are also responsible for keeping their laptops in good working order. If it needs to be repaired, students should bring their laptops to the CLC (library) as soon as possible and put in a work order for the devices to be repaired. Please be mindful that families may be charged for services if the laptop is damaged due to neglect.

We plan to distribute laptops to 6th graders and new 7th and 8th grade students during Meet & Greet on July 31st from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Please pick up your student's schedule prior to picking up his/her laptop to support the distribution process.

While we encourage students to use district laptops, parents may also authorize personal laptops to be used. These approved personal laptops must also be brought to school each day, and personal laptops are not able to be serviced at school. Please refer to our BYOD approval needs for personal laptops.
