Awtrey Open House and Book Fair

OPEN HOUSE: THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 6:30 P.M.
We’re excited to have our Open House and Book Fair this week, and we’d like to share some information about these special events:
Our Book Fair will be in the CLC (media center) Tuesday through Friday this week, opening during school hours each day and closing at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The following grade level visits are planned on the following days: Tuesday for 8th grade, Wednesday for 7th grade, and Thursday for 6th grade.
Please plan to park in the front lot, bus port, back lot, or back field for Open House, and access doors will be provided near these parking areas.
Families are welcome to visit the Book Fair during the day or before Open House from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 15. Our Open House is meant for parents/guardians, and while students are welcome, please help make sure adults are offered classroom seating before students.
Our PTSA will also be available in the CLC for membership, spirit wear, and yearbook sales this Thursday from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m., and please also consider signing up for a volunteer opportunity.
Our Open House on Thursday will begin at 6:30 p.m., and all parent(s)/guardian(s) attending are asked to be in their students’ homerooms by 6:30 p.m. (support available to find homerooms).
Copies of student schedules (and maps) will be available in homerooms, and families will attend 7-minute classes to learn about school policies and each of the seven class periods from our teachers, and four minutes will be provided for transitioning between classes. Open House is planned to end by 8:00 p.m. Below is our planned schedule:
