Minor Infraction Information
Minor infractions are used to support students:
- Minor infractions can be earned by three main areas of focus: (1) minor acts of disrespect, (2) BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) violations, and (3) late work infractions.
For students who don’t submit required graded assignments on time, excluding homework, students may receive credit for the assignments by completing an “After School Repair” work session. The following link can be used to schedule this opportunity. If a student does not take advantage of this opportunity, a “0” grade will remain for this assignment.
“After School Repair” Registration:
After School Repair Registration Form
Students and parents/guardians may visit StudentVUE or ParentVUE to monitor academic progress. Late work infractions will initially be documented with a “0” grade and marked with an “M” (missing). A replacement grade will be earned after the “After School Repair” has been served within one week of the “0” being recorded.
For all other minor infractions, we will use PBIS Rewards to document these infractions. Infractions documented within PBIS Rewards will translate into earned consequences and quarterly conduct grades. The following conduct grade levels from the Student Handbook will be used to calculate conduct grades each quarter.
Conduct Grade Satisfactory Level
Offense 1: Student Warning
Offense 2: Parent Notification
Conduct Grade Needs Improvement Level
Offense 3: Student Earns Detention
Offense 4: Student Meets with Grade Level Administrator
Conduct Grade Unsatisfactory Level
Offense 5: Student Earns Discipline Referral
Offense 6+: Student Meets with Principal
For minor infractions other than late work, parents/guardians will receive a courtesy e-mail from a staff member. We appreciate families checking academic grades frequently to stay updated about academic progress. Progress reports will be available online each 4½ progress report period and report cards are processed every 9 weeks. Please contact your student’s teacher with any questions or concerns about academic or behavioral progress. Thank you for the team effort!
