Dear Parent or Guardian,

I am reaching out to share some exciting news! Your child may be an excellent candidate for the 7th grade and 8th grade STEM Cohort next year. This is a fantastic opportunity for students who enjoy hands-on learning, problem-solving, and exploring science, technology, engineering, and math in creative and meaningful ways.  Applications were passed out last week, but some students may need to have a parent discussion about the positives about being in the cohort to turn in the applications.  If you want to know if your child filled out an application already, send me an email at saundra.watts@cobbk12.org.

Attached is the STEM Cohort application for your child to complete. Please note that all answers must be handwritten on loose-leaf paper—typed responses will not be accepted.

To help you learn more about the program and make an informed decision, there will be a short video that provides an overview of the STEM Cohort experience on the school homepage.
