Congratulations to Ms. Petrina Fowler! She was named the 2024 Georgia School Social Worker of the Year at the recent School Social Work Spring Conference at Evergreen Lakeside Resort, Stone Mountain, GA, on March 27-29.

Ms. Fowler's dedication to the field is truly inspiring. With 29 years of experience as a Certified School Social Worker in the Cobb County School System, she has made a profound impact on countless students and families. Her passion extends beyond her daily work, as she also shares her expertise as an adjunct professor at Kennesaw State University.

She actively contributes to the profession through her involvement in the School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA), the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and the School Social Workers Association of Georgia (SSWAG), where she serves as both conference planner and executive board member.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Fowler finds joy in her family life with her husband of 25 years, Tim Fowler, and their two wonderful children.
