In the Q&A below, Dr. Jenkins-Mann shares more about her leadership philosophy, her vision for student success, and the importance of strong partnerships between schools, families, and the community.

Question: What does “student success” mean to you?

Answer: "Student success means ensuring that every student is known, supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their fullest potential. Success looks different for every child, and it is our responsibility as educators to help students develop confidence, resilience, academic growth, and a sense of purpose as they prepare for their future.

Question: Under your leadership, how will you build on Cobb Horizon’s successes?

Answer: "My goal is to honor and build upon the strong foundation already established at Cobb Horizon High School. I believe in collaborative leadership, listening to stakeholders, and maintaining a student-centered focus in every decision we make. Together, we will continue strengthening a culture of high expectations, meaningful relationships, innovation, and support for all learners."

Question: What role do you see parents and the community playing in supporting student success?

Answer: "Parents and community members are essential partners in education. When schools, families, and communities work together, students benefit tremendously. I believe strong communication, trust, and shared responsibility create the conditions for students to thrive both inside and outside of the classroom."

Question: What do you like most about being an educator and principal?

Answer: "The most rewarding part of being an educator is building relationships with students and watching them grow into confident, capable young people. One of my favorite aspects of serving as a principal is seeing former students return years later to share their accomplishments and reflect on the positive impact their school experience had on their lives."

Question: Outside of school, where might parents and students find you?

Answer: "Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and reading. I also genuinely enjoy working out — I typically exercise daily."
