Contest Guidelines and Important Event Details:

Pumpkin Rules

Real or artificial pumpkins may be used. Pumpkins must not be carved or punctured to prevent rotting.

Decorations can include paint, fabric, paper, and other craft materials. The design must clearly represent a character from a book.

Entry Requirements

Each entry must include a card with:

Book title and author

Character name

Participant’s name and teacher

Helpful Tips:

1.Choose a recognizable character from a well-loved book.

2.Use lightweight materials to avoid damaging the pumpkin.

3.Incorporate small props or background elements to enhance the theme.

4.Keep the design family-friendly and appropriate for all ages.

Examples:

1.The Cat in the Hat – Red and white striped hat with painted whiskers.

2.Harry Potter – Round glasses, lightning scar, and Gryffindor scarf.

3.Winnie the Pooh – Yellow paint, red shirt, and honey pot accessory.

4.The Very Hungry Caterpillar – Multiple small pumpkins painted in bright colors.
