The Durham Middle School Science Olympiad team, led by teacher sponsors Mrs. Edwards, Mrs. Holland, and Mrs. Poirot, is going to state competition!

Our Science Olympiad team is a dedicated group of students who meet every Friday after school to compete in 23 STEM events across biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, and engineering. Each member participates in hands-on challenges testing their knowledge, problem-solving, and teamwork.

At the regional competition on February 1st at Shorter College in Rome, GA, our team earned 3rd place in Crime Busters, 2nd place in Air Trajectory, Code Busters, and Road Scholar, and 1st place in Write It Do It. We are excited to compete at the state level on April 19th at UGA in Athens, GA.
