Gary Cole Named DMS Classified Employee of the Year

Head Custodian Gary Cole has been named 2025-26 DMS Classified Employee of the Year.
Gary Cole has been part of the CCSD since 2003, first serving HAVEN Academy and then Durham Middle. Gary is truly a Durham Playmaker. Much of what he does goes unnoticed but is the bedrock of the smooth daily operation of our building. He is quick to support any need within the building, whether that is making a repair, building furniture, delivering supplies, or readying the building for students and staff. His dedication, commitment, and hard work are just a few reasons he is a deserving nominee. Congratulations, Mr. Cole!
