Hello GM Families!

School may be ending for the summer, but we're kicking off our summer reading program!

If you're an incoming Kindergarten student, you can also participate using a paper reading log. Current 5th graders who will be moving on to Mabry can view the suggested summer reading list below. Fifth graders should log their minutes as part of GM and when school begins for the 2026-2027 year, their names will be transferred to Mabry Middle School.

Below are find links to information from the Cobb County Public Library and a paper reading log if you prefer that to logging minutes online with Beanstack. If you're new to Beanstack, instructions are linked below. Incoming GM students will need to use the paper log.

Current GM students will log minutes using their current homeroom teacher. All the data will be converted to their homeroom teacher for the 2026-2027 school year on August 1st. Be sure to log all your summer reading by midnight on July 31st.

If you'd like more details about the summer reading program, please visit the Cobb Summer Reading website. If you have additional questions, please reach out!

Happy Reading!
