Do you have what it takes to learn to read?
As students grow and learn from one year to the next, teachers introduce different strategies and elements that build a child's understanding of reading. We have put together a game to simulate the lessons and skills kids need to build year-to-year as they learn to read.
Please join us for a fun game in which parents and students will gather clues and travel to classrooms until they solve the puzzle and reach the goal. Of course, there will be lots of reading skills involved in gathering the clues! Fun for the whole family!
Literacy Night will run from 5:30 - 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Hendricks Elementary. Literacy Night is part of Hendricks Elementary's Parent University program. We hope see you there!
The electronic translation service is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages, although an impressive number, this does not capture all languages or dialects. The basic translation’s goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material.
