Kell HOF 2026

February 10, 2026Kell High School recently inducted two more individuals into its Sports Hall of Fame. Bryson Armstrong and Patrick Flesher. Both are remembered for their contributions to Longhorn Football, but their legacies at Kell extend far beyond the playing field.

A graduate of Kell’s Class of 2016, Bryson Armstrong is one of the most accomplished football players in program history. A four-year letterman, he made a lasting impact on both sides of the ball, showcasing exceptional versatility, leadership, and competitive excellence throughout his career.

Offensively, Bryson totaled 1,408 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. His defensive résumé as a linebacker is also impressive: 431 total tackles, four interceptions, 17 pass breakups, three fumble recoveries, five forced fumbles, and seven sacks. His outstanding performance earned him First Team All-State honors, Region Defensive Player of the Year, and selection as a team captain for the 2015 season — an acknowledgment of both his play and his leadership.

Following graduation, Bryson signed with the Kennesaw State University Owls, where he continued to excel at the collegiate level. During his time with the Owls, he earned both Big South Conference and national honors, further cementing his reputation as an elite defender. In his senior year, Bryson transferred to the University of Central Florida Knights to complete his collegiate career, competing at the highest level of the game.

"He is not only going into the Hall of Fame for his athletic accomplishments," said Coach Derek Cook. "Bryson is going in because of the tremendous young man that he has always been. He always made time for everyone—teammates, friends, fans—everyone was allowed access because of his low-key, humble personality."

Bryson’s journey — from high school to collegiate standout — reflects excellence, perseverance, and leadership. His achievements continue to inspire Longhorn athletes and represent Kell football.

Bryson said two things stood out to him when he began to think about why he had been chosen for the Hall of Fame: toughness and commitment. "You've got to be physically and mentally tough, and committed to the team, to each other, to the community," he said. He concluded by thanking his family and his wife, Mia, for all their support, love, and commitment.

Patrick Flesher is a 2010 graduate and truly embodies what it means to be a Kell Longhorn. His connection to Kell Athletics began as a student, where he first supported the football program behind the scenes by assisting with uniform organization. It did not take long for Patrick to become one of the team’s most visible, vocal, and passionate supporters every Friday night.

Patrick’s commitment to Kell did not end at graduation. He remained a constant at Longhorn football games, faithfully attending home contests and often traveling with the team to away games. Known for his enthusiastic cheering, unwavering loyalty, and occasional spirited disagreement with officials, Patrick’s presence has become synonymous with Friday night football at Kell.

"I was so proud to be a part of the football team with all these men," Patrick said emotionally. "I always have a great journey with them on the road and at home, too. Winning the region championship was so great. It all means so much to me, and I am just grateful to be a part of it!"

More than his energy and school spirit, Patrick is known for his kindness and genuine heart. He greets everyone with warmth, offers encouragement freely, and exemplifies what it means to be a true friend and an even better community member. His loyalty, compassion, and lifelong dedication to Kell have left an indelible mark on the program.

If one were asked to paint a picture of a Friday night at the Stockyard, the answer would be easy: the team, the band, the cheerleaders—and Patrick Flesher. He is not just a supporter of Kell High School; he is an enduring part of the Longhorn story.

"What you get with Patrick is somebody that is true to his heart, and he just loves you. You have a friend for life," said Coach Richard Norman. "He has always been out there supporting us in everything, and he is very deserving of this honor. So, Patrick, welcome to the Kell High School Hall of Fame!"
