August 26, 2026 — Kell High School ranks in the top 100 best public high schools in Georgia for 2026-27, according to the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. The latest ranking reinforces Kell's place among Cobb’s top high schools. Kell is one of 11 Cobb schools to earn the top-100 state ranking. 

When looking at schools just in the metro Atlanta area, Kell moves up the ranking to 63rd. 

These rankings are calculated based on college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, graduation rate, college curriculum breadth, and performance among underserved students.  

Kell's recognition extends beyond Georgia, too.

Among more than 27,000 public high schools evaluated nationwide, Kell ranks in approximately the top 12% of public high schools nationwide. 

The latest state and national rankings reflect Kell's strong academic record, including the school's contribution to Cobb's record-breaking graduation rate. That is more proof of the high level of achievement families can expect at Kell and across Cobb Schools.
