Kindergarten Registration! Opens Today!

"I became a teacher because, at ten years old, I knew I wanted to be the person who instilled the love of learning in a child's life. I taught my sister and my stuffed animals until I could teach real students."

Heather Garrett is the type of caring and veteran Cobb educator who will welcome your young learner to kindergarten in August.

“I love teaching kindergarten because I’m able to instill a foundation for children,” added Ms. Garrett, who especially loves to see her kindergarteners grow and develop over the year with confidence and skills they didn’t think were possible.

Sending your child off to school for the first time is a big milestone—for students and their parents. Cobb educators understand.

"We've had parents that will cry on the first day because it's maybe their first child, and they're sending them off for the first time. Just know that your children are safe and loved when they are at school,” Cobb kindergarten teacher Erica Tillery said reassuringly.

Cobb educators are ready—and excited—to welcome you and your students.

“All Cobb elementary schools are full of adults who love children. That’s why we’re here. We want your child to feel safe, happy, and excited to come to school every day,” declared Sarah Stewart, another devoted Cobb kindergarten teacher.

As you begin kindergarten enrollment, Ms. Tillery wants you to feel confident in the bright future that awaits your children in Cobb Schools.

"Cobb County schools would be a great choice for any family because we teach kids how to be 21st-century learners. We’re giving them the skills to collaborate, think critically, and interact with a diverse world."
