King Springs Elementary Celebrates Volunteer of the Year, Ashley King

King Springs Elementary School is proud to announce that Ashley King has been honored as our Volunteer of the Year! The recognition took place during the Cobb County School District's annual Volunteer of the Year Awards on February 27, 2025. The awards luncheon, hosted by the Cobb Schools Foundation at Jim Miller Park, celebrated over 100 dedicated parents, community members, and local leaders who have made significant contributions to our schools.
Ashley King, a King Springs parent of two students, has been a remarkable asset to King Springs Elementary. Each week, she visits the school to clean and organize the Lost & Found. Her diligent efforts ensure that students are reunited with their misplaced coats, jackets, water bottles, and any other items labeled with a student's name.
The King Springs Lost & Found is only empty twice per year: at the beginning of each semester. At the end of each semester, items left behind are donated to local organizations. Organizing this room is no small task, and Ashley's commitment to helping our students and maintaining a tidy Lost & Found area has made a tremendous difference in our school community.
We are incredibly grateful for Ashley's dedication and hard work. Her volunteerism exemplifies the spirit of community and support that makes King Springs Elementary a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow. We deeply appreciate all our volunteers, whose selfless contributions help create a nurturing and supportive environment for our students.
