King Springs to Defend Title at Smyrna's Jonquil Cup Soccer Tournament

Smyrna, GA - The students at King Springs Elementary School are gearing up to defend their title at the upcoming Jonquil Cup, a soccer tournament being held on May 2, 2025, that brings together young athletes from several local elementary schools, including Nickajack Elementary, Smyrna Elementary, Teasley Elementary, and Green Acres Elementary.  The first game begins at 6:30 PM. 

A Day of Soccer and Sportsmanship Awaits

Set to take place at the Riverline Soccer Complex, the Jonquil Cup promises to be a thrilling event filled with competitive spirit and community support.  This year's tournament will see enthusiastic participating from all the schools, with students ready to showcase their soccer skill and teamwork.

As the defending champion, King Springs Elementary, is preparing with great determination and skill, aiming to retain their title and demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship. The team is coached by Christopher Hardy, David Worrall, and Martinique Perry, who have been instrumental in their preparation and success.

Community Support and Celebration

The event is expected to be a true community affair, with parents, teachers, and local residents coming out to support the young athletes.  The atmosphere will be filled with excitement and encouragement, as families cheer on their teams.
