Bruner named CCSD Middle School CEOTY

Ms%20Bruner%20congratulated.pngThe Cobb County School District’s middle school classified employee of the year is our own Angie Bruner, and we couldn’t think of a more deserving candidate! If you have been involved at McClure for any length of time, you may know Ms. Bruner as an involved parent of two Mavericks, her sons Issac and Luke.  You may also know her as our ISS paraprofessional, a title that only scratches the surface of what she does at McClure.

You may know Ms. Bruner as the warm, welcoming face you encounter when you enter the school each morning.  She not only oversees our before-school study hall but also personally greets every student and visitor who arrives before 9:00 each day.

She also manages our school’s grade recovery program. Each week, Ms. Bruner works with students who have missed work or need extra time to catch up after an absence. Through her efforts, she has helped many students raise their grades.

If you have attended a quarterly honor roll program at McClure, you have seen Angie Buner's behind-the-scenes work. She creates and organizes the certificates and the program each quarter.

She sits on our organizational leadership team, is a member of our RTI program, and is an integral part of our PBIS team. She often serves as a check-in/check-out coach for several students each year and is also one of our stage managers for the school musical.  Outside of McClure, Angie is a university student working on a middle-grade education degree. Soon she will join the ranks of certified teachers to continue working with students.

We could not be prouder of Angie Bruner for being our classified employee of the year and being the CCSD’s middle school CEOTY!
