NJHS Applications are Open

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a premier organization for middle-level students (grades 6–9) that recognizes outstanding academic achievement and develops leadership, service, character, and citizenship. Founded in 1929, it empowers students through service projects and skill-building, with a minimum 3.0 GPA required. Our McClure chapter is headed by Ms. Renate Davis.
The five pillars of NJHS are:
- Scholarship
- Service
- Leadership
- Character
- Citizenship
Membership is open to students in grades 6-9 who meet the required cumulative GPA (minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, often higher) and pass a faculty council review. Members must maintain their GPA, participate in service projects, and attend meetings.
