As the 2026–2027 academic year gets underway, our institution is proud to unveil a premier student recognition initiative designed to redefine how we celebrate academic success: The Altitude CLUB.
Rooted deeply in our institutional core values of Commitment, Leadership, Integity, Mindfulness, and Balance (CLIMB), this pioneering incentive program shifts the spotlight away from static standardized test scores. Instead, the Altitude CLUB focuses entirely on individual progress and academic trajectory. By utilizing state data from the Georgia Milestones assessment, the program honors students who demonstrate significant year-over-year improvement.
A Balanced Approach to Recognition
Traditional academic rewards often inadvertently favor students who naturally score at the top of their class. The Altitude CLUB levels the playing field by using Student Growth Percentiles (SGPs), a metric that compares a student's progress to that of academic peers across the state who started from the same baseline.
Furthermore, in alignment with our core value of Balance, the program evaluates students based on their highest area of individual subject growth. Rather than penalizing a student who struggles in one particular discipline, demonstrating exceptional growth in at least one tested subject area secures their entry into this elite club.
The 2026–2027 Membership Tiers
Membership is divided into two distinct, high-status tiers based on Georgia Milestones performance. Once earned, these cards serve as an all-access pass to exclusive campus privileges for the duration of the school year.
The Altitude CLUB Platinum Card
To secure a Platinum Card, students must demonstrate Typical Growth—defined by the state as an SGP falling between the 35th and 65th percentiles—in at least one tested subject. Platinum members will enjoy complimentary gourmet popcorn at designated appreciation events throughout the academic year.
The Altitude CLUB Black Card
Representing the apex of academic momentum, the Black Card is reserved for students who achieve High Growth, achieving an SGP at the 66th percentile or higher in at least one subject area. Black Card holders inherit all the perks of the Platinum tier, supplemented by daily VIP access to an exclusive campus oasis.
Inside the 66 VIP Lounge
Named in honor of the rigorous 66th-percentile benchmark required for High Growth status, the 66 VIP Lounge introduces an upscale, collaborative environment to the student midday routine. Situated prominently on the front porch pavilion directly outside the cafeteria, this space offers Black Card holders premium amenities during their lunch periods:
Bypassing Cafeteria Restrictions: Black Card holders are granted permanent immunity from daily seating constraints, guaranteeing them preferred seating regardless of general student body privileges.
The Concierge Welcome: Members simply present their Black Card to the Concierge stationed at the pavilion threshold to gain seamless access to the outdoor patio dining areas.
Premium Refreshments: The lounge features a dedicated Concierge Desk where student members can request complimentary chilled sodas and waters to accompany their lunch.
Cultivating Community Leadership
The impact of the Altitude CLUB extends far beyond the lunch hour. The program's central fixture, the Concierge Desk, serves a critical dual purpose by transitioning into a public welcome hub during major school events.
Throughout the 2026–2027 school year, visitors attending Open House, Sneak-A-Peek, and School Concerts will find the Concierge Desk operating at the front of the building. Staffed by Altitude CLUB student leaders, this hospitality desk will provide parents and community guests with event programs, navigation assistance, and essential school information. Through this service component, club members actively translate their personal academic achievements into meaningful civic leadership.
