Rocky Mount is excited to share plans for the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. This year, there will be one event which will include Sneak-a-Peek and the Parent Open House Meeting. The new Orientation will be on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Each grade level will have a separate time to allow movement throughout the building and to accommodate the school's limited parking. Grade level times are listed below. Teachers are modifying their schedules for this day so they will only be available during the grade level time slot. When the grade level session begins, half of the families will go to the classroom while the other half goes to the cafeteria. In the classroom, the student and family will meet the teacher and will hear about the daily schedule, curriculum, and class procedures. In the cafeteria, the student and family will meet additional school staff, learn about school-wide procedures, and take a tour of the school. The groups will switch halfway through the time so that everyone has a chance to meet the teacher and hear about plans for the 2021-2022 school year. Information from the Rocky Mount Foundation, PTA, and After School Program (ASP) will also be available in the cafeteria. Families are welcome to bring the school supplies on Thursday, July 29th.  We look forward to seeing everyone during their assigned times. The first day of school is Monday, August 2, 2021. School begins at 7:45 a.m. 

Kindergarten - 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

First Grade - 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Second Grade - 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Third Grade - 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. 

Fourth Grade - 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Fifth Grade - 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
