Kindergarten bus ride along 2024

Is your child curious about what riding on the big yellow bus is like? Are there rules to follow? Where does the bus stop on the way to school? Find out by bringing your kindergarten and first-grade students for a special test ride on Tuesday, July 30.

The annual ride-along for kindergartners, first graders, and their parents provides a preview of what to expect when riding one of Cobb’s 1,000+ yellow buses. Bus pick-up will follow the same morning route at the scheduled stops and pick-up times as the first day of school. Look up your bus schedule and route on the District website

The Cobb Schools Transportation Department organizes this event to help Cobb’s youngest learners get their jitters out and review important safety tips, like how to exit the bus properly. It also lets parents see why the school bus is the safest way to get students to and from school.

Don't miss this chance to help your child feel comfortable and excited about their first bus ride. Although parents cannot join their children on the bus ride on the first day of school, they can track the location of their child’s bus in real time with the Cobb Schools Here Comes the Bus App

Our drivers are looking forward to welcoming you aboard!
