Morning Arrival Reminder

This is a friendly reminder about our morning arrival procedures to help ensure a smooth and safe start to each school day.
  • 7:45 AM – Announcements Bell
  • 7:50 AM – Tardy Bell
  • Teachers take attendance when the 7:50 bell rings. Students must be in their classrooms by 7:50 to avoid being marked tardy.
Vaughan doors open at 7:15 AM for both car riders and bus riders. If you choose to bring your child to school as a car rider, please build a few extra minutes into your morning routine to allow for a potentially long car line—especially on rainy days, when traffic tends to move more slowly. Remember, the school bus is never late, so riding the bus is a reliable way to ensure students arrive on time.

Morning Parking and Traffic Pattern Reminder
If you choose to bring your child to school as a car rider, please follow the designated traffic pattern. There is no parking for morning arrival at the end of the building (3rd/4th/5th grade).

There are two options for car rider drop off:
  • Follow the traffic pattern and drop off students along the length of the front sidewalk.
  • Follow the traffic pattern and park in the back (ASP/cafe) and walk your child around to the front.
Thank you for partnering with us to support a calm, on-time start for all students each morning.

March Mission: Design and build a Star Catcher!

Ready to capture a little cosmic magic? This month’s Mission invites you to design and create a “Star Catcher”—a device or model that imagines how we might collect or observe stars in the night sky. Whether it’s inspired by science, fantasy, or a mix of both, your creation should reflect your understanding of stars and your family's unique creativity.
Let your imagination shine as bright as the stars!

Science Olympiad Regional Competition

Congratulations to our students who represented our school at the Science Olympiad Regional Competition! Our team worked hard preparing for challenging science events that tested their knowledge, problem-solving, and teamwork. We are so proud of the dedication and curiosity they showed while competing against other schools in our region. Way to go, young scientists!

Information to Help Plan 2026-27 School Year

Please complete the non-retuning student form if your child will not return to Vaughan ES for the 2026-27 school year. Please fill out a form for each child. Thank you for helping us plan for next school year by sharing this information with us. You will not need to fill this out if your student is promoting from 5th to 6th grade.

If interested, you may fill out this optional student input form. This information about your child may be used to assist in class placement. We do not accept requests for specific teachers. This form is optional and will be open March 15-March 29. Thank you!
