Starting September 28, our 3rd–5th grade students who plan to purchase an extra item in the cafeteria will need a “Lunch Extras” ticket. This will help us SOAR through the lunch line more quickly and efficiently! ✈️ Please take a moment to: ⭐ Review the list of Extras offered and their prices. ⭐ Check your child’s available funds in My School Bucks ⭐ Chat with your child about which Extras they would like to purchase. Each day, students will take their lunch extras ticket with them to the cafe. 📄 We will send several tickets home with each 3-5 student next week. Tickets can also be printed from home by clicking this link: LUNCH EXTRAS TICKET Thank you for helping us make lunchtime run smoothly! ✈️💙Students are actively earning PBIS points for SOARing throughout the school day! Students can use their points to purchase rewards from their class or school PBIS Store. Be sure to celebrate your child’s SOARing choices at home by accessing the PBIS Family Rewards app! You can use the app to stay connected to their child’s progress, including points earned and any communication from the teacher related to behavior. Check out our SOAR video to see how we demonstrate what it means to be Safe, Only Show Kindness, Accountable, and Respectful throughout our school. Get ready to read your way to Smarty Pants status! During September, students can meet the challenge by completing at least one 10-grid in the month of September or logging 300 minutes of reading in Beanstack for “Reading Gives Us Wings”! Students who complete either challenge—or both—will be recognized for their reading accomplishments! In addition, two students from each grade level who meet the challenge will be entered into our Smarty Pants raffle drawing for September 29th! Keep reading, tracking, and showing us how reading helps you SOAR! 📚✈️ |
Our first Beanstack challenge - "Ready for Takeoff" concluded, and we celebrated 66 rockets for completing their challenge! These students received a "brag tag" and candy, and will have their names posted on our Beanstack Board! Our September challenge is "Reading Gives Us Wings." Our Beanstack Reader of the Week is Sayeed Tetsadjio! Way to go, Sayeed ! 🎉We love to see our Kindergartners join in the fun by logging for the very first time! Keep reading, rockets! 🚀 |
We Feel the Need to Read!We are so proud of our Brag Tag earners for August! Students can earn brag tags for several different reading activities throughout the year. Check out our 2nd graders who earned at least one brag tag this month for completing two or more ten grids! We are excited to continue to see our students and their progress in reading! |
🚀 Our First Family STEM Challenge Is Here!Get ready to think, create, and invent together! This month, Mrs. Lewis is reading The Most Magnificent Idea by Ashley Spires. Watch the story together, then get ready to put your imagination and problem-solving skills to work! 💡 Your Mission: Create a Magnificent Invention! Think of an everyday problem that needs a solution. Then, use recycled materials from around your home to design and build an invention that could help solve it! 📅 Projects Due: September 18 Bring your magnificent invention to school to receive CANDY 🍬 and for a chance to have your creation featured in next month’s Family STEM Challenge recording! 🌟 Remember...
