Wheeler SAT Scores Surge Past State and National Averages

October 7, 2026 —Wheeler High School’s Class of 2026 earned an average SAT score of 1193, placing students 162 points above Georgia’s average and 182 points above the national average. Wheeler was one of eight Cobb high schools with averages exceeding 1100.
The school also finished 77 points above Cobb’s district average of 1116, giving the community another academic accomplishment to celebrate.
Georgia’s average was 1031, while the national average was 1011, out of a possible 1600 points. The Wildcats exceeded all three comparison averages: district, state, and national.
Wheeler students averaged 598 in evidence-based reading and writing and 595 in math, outperforming Georgia public-school averages by 73 points in reading and writing and 89 points in math, while topping the national public-school averages by 83 and 99 points, respectively.
SAT scores can support college applications and scholarships. For students planning those next steps, the results represent one part of the academic preparation they carry with them after graduation.
