HiSET® EXAM

Georgia now offers both HiSET® exams and GED® tests to qualifying individuals.  Both tests allow you to earn your high school equivalency credential. The HiSET® exam is one of three tests (GED , HiSET®, and TASC) U.S. states and territories use to measure high school equivalency (HSE) skills.  Educational Testing Services (ETS) works closely with states to ensure the HiSET® exam closely reflects the skills of a high school graduate and to provide a fair, rigorous exam.  For complete exam information, including payment and how to schedule exams at a proctored test site visit https://hiset.ets.org.

For those interested, HiSET® is available to take from home from 4 AM until 7 PM ET, 7 days per week.  For specific information about scheduling a test at home visit https://hiset.ets.org and select at home testing.

The Cobb County School District Testing Centers cannot give out official GED® or HiSET® exam scores.  Official diplomas and transcripts are mailed directly to the examinee from the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), Office of Adult Education, High School Equivalency Program once you have successfully completed the exam. If you are 16 or 17, you MUST complete the requirements set by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) in order to be eligible to take the tests.  For complete information on testing requirement, locations, receiving an official transcript and all other information regarding the high school equivalency tests visit https://www.tcsg.edu/adult-education-high-school-equivalency-hse/.
