Congratulations to Rebekah Colloton for getting Artist of the Week! Rebekah is a loving and kind girl who is in the visual arts. She is a great student, and Mrs. McInerny has even put her own input to Rebekah’s excellence! Mrs. McInerny says, “Rebekah has taken an art class every semester since she has been here at Allatoona. She has shown dedication to the arts and improving her skills. Rebekah shows tremendous skill in drawing, painting and ceramics.” Great praise to Rebekah! Rebekah says that she has been drawing seriously since the third grade and says her favorite medium in art is graphite! Rebekah is a hard-working artist that shows great skill, and her advice to those who would like to achieve the same goals in art is to “learn from others and take advice on your art.” She also says, “Your art style is not going to change overnight and look like a masterpiece.” Art is a skill that takes patience and learning, and taking advice and critiques are great ways to move forward in that area! Congratulations again to Rebekah for getting Artist of the Week! Be sure to congratulate her when you spot her out in Allatoona!
