Principal ClintonA Message from Principal Clinton

Dear Argyle Families,

I am grateful to serve the Argyle students, families, staff, and community! My time as the proud principal at Argyle Elementary began in 2018. I have been an educator for more than 25 years. Prior to coming to Argyle, I was a classroom teacher, district lead teacher, academic coach, and assistant principal.  My interests outside of school include traveling, reading, and spending time with my husband and son cooking, and cheering on all of our Georgia sports teams!

As a collaborative leader, I believe that families play an integral role in the success of students. Families can be actively engaged by supporting students with homework, volunteering at school, and attending school events such as Title I meetings, Literacy Night, Math Night, and Quarterly Family Previews. If you would like to find out more about being involved in school events, please contact your child’s teacher, an administrator, or our parent liaison to inquire about engagement opportunities.  Another way to get involved is to serve as a -Parent Teacher Association (PTA) officer or to join our PTA or Principal's Advisory Council (PAC).

Each year, the goal is to make Argyle the best place to teach, lead and learn.  This means we will continue to provide rigorous instruction during the school day and engaging extracurricular activities that enhance learning and offer interest-based experiences for all of our students. Due to the dedication of our staff and community volunteers, we are able to offer after-school opportunities such as Girls on the Run, Chorus, Piano Lessons, Tutoring, Boys/Girls Scouts, Drama Club, Math Club, Reading Club, Karate, and STEM Club. In the mornings and during lunch, we host Maker Space Mornings and a Reading Lunch Bunch for small groups of students.

I will continue to host input meetings throughout the school year. During these meetings, you can meet with me and share your feedback and insights about topics related to students and our school. Correspondence about these meetings will reference Title I, Principal's Advisory Council, and Coffee and Conversation.  Invitations will be sent out through CTLS Parent.

I look forward to our continued partnership as we work to ensure that all of our Argyle students are successful!

Regards,

Georgette Clinton, Principal

A Message from Assistant Principal Graham

Hello Argyle Family,

I am honored to have the wonderful opportunity to serve and support you in my role as your assistant principal. I have been at Argyle since 2019 and have been serving in Cobb County Schools for 20 years. Before coming to Cobb in 2002, I worked in Atlanta Public Schools for three years. During my time in education, I have taught first through fifth grades, done some problem-solving as a Math Lab Teacher, supported teachers as an Academic Coach, and supported school initiatives as a School Leadership Intern. All of these experiences have prepared me for this awesome journey that is taking place at Argyle.

I am an alumna of Spelman College, where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Development. My time at Central Michigan University delivered a Master of Education Degree, and my Specialist Degree in Leadership was completed at Berry College.

When I am not working, you will most likely find me near a baseball field, or in the stands of a basketball gym. I have two high school boys who keep me very busy with sports throughout the week and on weekends. When we are on break from sports, I enjoy traveling.

I am looking forward to another spectacular year at Argyle! You have my commitment that I will work with all stakeholders to ensure that our students are the best they can be academically and as human beings. We are one team with one goal!

 LeShon Graham, Assistant Principal
