Welcome to the Baker Learning Commons. The Learning Commons is a place where students can come check out a book, read, and come for lessons. Below you find helpful information on the Learning Commons.

Overdue Books

A book is considered overdue when it has been absent from the library for more than 14 days. There is no fine for overdue books, however we ask that you turn books in on time.

Lost/Damaged Books

If a book cannot be found, it is considered lost. A book is considered damaged if is returned in a condition where no other student can check it out. The most common form of damage is torn pages, writing in the book, or water spills on the book. Lost and damaged books must be paid for. Mrs. Brown will send home a form indicating the cost of the book. Please send your payment to the school. Checks should be made out to Baker Elementary. If you send cash, please send the exact amount as no change can be given. If the lost book is found before the last day of the current school year, then a refund form will be sent home with the student.

Learning Commons Hours

The Learning Commons is open daily from 7:15 to 2:00.

Library P.A.S.S.

If you are a student currently attending a Cobb County Public School, you already have a Library PASS (Public Library Access for Student Success) account. That means you have access to all of the awesome resources at the public library, including 93 online databases, 18,659 eBooks, 7,270 eAudiobooks, and 430 streaming videos as well as 604,908 physical items in their collection.

How does it work?

Use your student number and your PIN to check out library materials and access digital resources. Your PIN is your 4 digit birthday using the month and day you were born. For example, if you were born on February 4, your PIN would be 0204.
