Welcome to the Bullard Library Learning Commons!
The mission of the Bullard Library Learning Commons is to serve as an extension of the classroom by providing space and resources to equip students with a love of reading and the skills to become innovative, creative, and collaborative lifelong learners. We strive to provide a welcoming atmosphere, and inspire our students to expand their horizons!
We became Learning Commons Certified in Spring 2024. What does that mean? We have flexible spaces: soft seating, collaboration areas, comfy reading corners, a teaching corner, a newsroom (where we broadcast live each morning!), and a Makerspace!
What is a Makerspace? This is an area of the Learning Commons designed to encourage creativity! We have Legos, blocks, art supplies, Perler beads and more!
Of course, we also have plenty of books (and new books!) for checkout. Our books are in “neighborhoods.” We have Everybody picture books, Quick reads (shorter chapters), Fiction (organized by genre- or type), Non-fiction, and Biography!
