IB News THANK YOU to our amazing IB Board members and parents who came out to the two community events on Sunday. We cannot host these events without your help reserving the clubhouses and sharing your experiences with potential families, so thank you! Have or know an 8th grader interested in magnet programs? Remind them the magnet application deadline is December 2nd.
Seniors: Encourage your seniors to keep their foot on the metaphorial gas š. This semeter's grades truly matter for college acceptances and reflect their progress toward IB exams. (see handout sent to them in Remind)
Juniors: As your student faces challenges with the content and assessments in their IB level courses, encourage them to attend teacher tutoring sessions. Their teachers are the experts and can provide them with suggestions and support. Students who ask their teachers for help, review notes nightly, use Kognity (review readings, play Kognity challenges, etc.), keep planners for assignments, and form study groups are finding success with the new challenge of IB.
