Campbell Advanced Placement Scholars- CAPS
The week of January 27 has been designated as the CAPS Campaign and Application Week!
IB News Welcome back! We hope everyone had a relaxing and rejuvenating break and is ready for second semester. Congratulations to Campbell IB senior and soccer player Mireya Stephenson, who signed up to play soccer at the University of Arizona! Schedules: As mentioned in the Remind message, we are still balancing classes based on numbers - while the district allows the first 10 days for schedule changes, our goal is to have them settled by the first week. We cannot change schedules based on a student's preference of teacher or block, so again, we ask that students do not reach out with these requests. However, if a student is in the incorrect course, please have them go see the appropriate person (sent in the Remind message).
Seniors: I know this is a bitter-sweet semester for parents. Students will turn in their final EE by Monday, January 6th and schedule their Viva Voce meeting with their mentor before the end of January. A reminder that any students not meeting deadlines or minimum grade requirements from the first semester run the risk of being pulled from IB exams and having their schedules changed.
Juniors: We know the first semester can be challenging for juniors as they familiarize themselves with IB-style content and assessments. Remind them that they are in this program because we know they are remarkable students who both want and can handle challenges! They can do this! Continue to encourage them to attend their teacher's tutoring sessions, set up study groups, and ask for help. They are in this program because
