Campbell celebrates its diverse cultures at International Festival
In a school where more than 20 languages are spoken, Campbell students represent countries all over the globe. Each year, the student body comes together to for the school's annual International Festival. Representing their own culture and cultures around the world, Campbell students parade around the Gwyn McClure Gym wearing different cultural attire from across the decades.
Music, dance and fashion were the highlights of the festival. Over eighty students participated, representing 15 countries. Dance performances included Latin, Hispanic, K-Pop Korean, Japanese, and American Hip Hop dance. Fashion from Japan, China, Africa, Mexico, Vietnam, India, and many more countries was modeled by students.
Seeing their fellow students wearing traditional garb from other culture didn't just teach Campbell students about cultures from around the world, it also taught them about each other. They learned about the individual students that make up the largest high school in the Cobb County School District.
