End of Course Test Requirements:

According to the Georgia Department of Education, the assessments provide diagnostic information to help students identify strengths and areas of need in learning, therefore improving performance in all high school courses.  All End of Course Tests are worth 20% of the final course grade.  The following classes have End of Course Tests:

  • American Literature
  • GSE Algebra
  • Biology
  • U.S. History

Promotion Requirements:

  • To 10th Grade - Students must earn a minimum of five units which shall include one full credit each of state-required core coursework in English, Math, and Science.
  • To 11th Grade - Students must earn a minimum of ten units which shall include two full units each of state-required core coursework in English, Math, and Science.
  • To 12th Grade - Student must earn a minimum of sixteen units which shall include two full units each of state-required core coursework in English, Math, and Science.
