Good afternoon, Spartan Families,
We successfully completed the first two days of the second semester, and we have two topics to ask parents/guardians to discuss with your student: 1. Please talk to your student about how important it is to have empathy for others and to treat everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and other differences with the utmost respect and dignity. 2. The importance of instructional time and getting to class on time for all four class periods.
We will begin giving tardies on Monday to students who are late to class. We also recognize students at the end of each quarter with a coupon to the school store when they do not have any tardies nor any discipline referrals.
Students who earn between a 60-69 in content classes will have an opportunity to retake the class in Edmentum via Course Extension. Students who earn below a 60 will have to retake the entire class in a Credit Recovery course. The counselors will assist with scheduling students. There is a flyer with more detail below. All Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to check the information in the Campbell News below for the Junior/Senior Prom. Parents are reminded that students should not be dropped off before 7:30 AM unless it has been requested by a teacher or coach and they will remain with that adult. Students are also expected to leave the building no later than 4 PM unless they are under the supervision of a teacher or coach.
Best regards, Dr. Watkins
