Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015, provides funding to school districts to help ensure that all children, particularly those who are most academically at-risk, meet challenging state academic standards. Schools participating in the Title I program receive funds, based on the percentage of students qualifying for free or reduced-price school meals. Programs are designed to ensure high standards for all, increase quality instructional time, improve instruction through professional development, enhance family participation in the educational process and give schools the opportunity to provide additional educational resources, for the most at-risk students.

The Title 1 Parent Facilitator is to assist in the building capacity for parental involvement and engagement at Clay Harmony Leland (CHL). I work to BRIDGE between school and parents. I look forward to doing my part to ensure there is a Powerful Parent Partnership here at CHL.
The Title I Parent Facilitator's number one priority is to assist parents & guardians in the following areas:
- Facilitate Parent Workshops.
- Assist with ParentVUE username and password trouble shooting.
- Assist in facilitating open dialogue and communication between parents and teachers via the CTLS Parent App.
Moreover, the Clay Harmony Leland Parent Resource Room is a welcoming space created just for our families!
Here, parents and caregivers can find helpful tools to support their child’s learning at home. The center includes three parent computers for things like job searches, checking email, or printing resumes. We also offer a variety of parent resources, including student workbooks, children’s books, and fun educational games. Families are welcome to use these materials in the Resource Room or check them out to take home.
You can find the Parent Resource Room in Room 101M, near the front lobby on the Main Hallway. Our friendly Parent Facilitator, Mrs. Melody Cruell, is available to assist families Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
