Student Laptop Distribution - Middle Schools

The Cobb County School District is initiating a new program to provide a Dell laptop and carrying case to middle school students participating in face-to-face instruction this school year.   To date, nearly 15,000 laptops have already been distributed to high school students in Cobb Schools. These laptops will be used regularly in classroom instruction, and will help with Milestones testing at the end of the year, we encourage everyone to take advantage of this program.

In order to receive a laptop for your middle school student, the enrolling adult must login to ParentVue and click on the Student Device Liability Agreement menu option (on the left). Select the Student Device Liability Agreement link in order to review the terms and choose Opt-In.   By clicking Opt-In, you indicate you have also reviewed and accept the full Technology Checkout Agreement regarding care and usage of the laptop.   Your student will be assigned a new laptop while they are enrolled in the Cobb County School District and will be required to return the device upon graduation or withdrawal from the district.

If you opt-out, no laptop will be distributed to your student.

More details, including tech support options, will be passed along to your child once they receive their device.   IMPORTANT:  If your student was assigned a laptop for the virtual 2020-2021 school year, that device must be returned before a new one can be issued.

This distribution plan will take some time, so please be patient as we strive to make this a seamless process.  Daniell has distributed laptops to over 90% of its students, and we would like to get that close to 100% so please take time to opt in if you have not.

Thank you for your support!
