J. J. Daniell Middle School offers three academies for eighth grade students: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics; Leadership, Law, and Public Service; and International Spanish Language. Acceptance into any of these academies not only allows middle level students the opportunity to explore more rigorous course options, but also is aimed at helping them be better prepared for acceptance into the academies at our award winning, feeder high school, Sprayberry High School.
Applications for the 2024-2025 Daniell Advanced Learning Academies will go live February 16, 2024 end of school day. Students are required to complete an application and a Flipgrid activity for their application to be complete. You must choose one academy to apply to, and be prepared to complete the application and submit it once you have started. You cannot save it and come back to complete later. Students may only submit one application to one academy.
