Color Battle is Coming to Daniell
The Color Battle is coming to Daniell!
Dear Daniell Families,
Thank you for your support of Daniell Middle School and the investments you make in your children’s lives. Our PTSA is excited to introduce you to this year’s major fundraising initiative: the Daniell MS Color Battle that will start Monday, October 17th and end on Friday, October 28th with the Color Battle Event.
Students will be challenged to get donations over 2 weeks from family and friends to help our school. Funds raised will be used to raise money for an outdoor classroom. We’ll end the 2-week fundraiser with a celebratory Color Battle event for students who participate in the fundraiser (think of field games, lots of color powder, participant t-shirts, loud music, high energy, and FUN!).
All students can participate in the activities throughout the two weeks. To be a part of the Color Battle event, a minimum of $30 raised for the school is needed.
Every student will receive a unique Access Code that will grant access to their own donation page, being encouraged to share their page with people they know. The more the word gets out, the more donations we will likely be able to gather for our school.
During the two weeks of the fundraiser, students will learn how to navigate their donation page so they can, at home, input phone numbers and emails of people they know. Daily challenges will be given (classroom and individual) to reward students that participate in the process of sharing the school’s donation page with the world. Any information collected is encrypted and protected by law, being used for the sole purpose of promoting this amazing initiative. Being a student-led fundraiser, this will also be a great opportunity to teach the students the concept of accountability: by actively helping out, they will be able to enjoy the benefits of the funds gathered for their own school.
Students who participate will get messy! Please keep this in mind when choosing pants, shoes, and undergarments for the day. Students will be allowed to wear a hair wrap/scarf/protective head covering if they choose to do so, but know this will also be covered in color as well, and there is still a chance your child's hair could get color on it.
Thank you again for your continued support
