Dodgen Middle School Recognized by State Superintendent as a Literacy Leader in Georgia!
Georgia Schools Superintendent Richard Woods recently visited Mountain View Elementary School to recognize Dodgen Middle School as one of 25 Cobb County elementary, middle, and high schools as Literacy Leaders.
“Literacy is the foundation of success, and it’s clear Cobb students have a strong foundation. Our schools are recognized as leaders because our teachers are able to focus on what matters and use Georgia standards as their guide,” said Board member Brad Wheeler.
Recognizing the success of their students, each honored school received a Literacy Leader Banner. This was the first year the state recognized middle schools for literacy achievement, and five Cobb middle schools earned the inaugural honor.
