End of Grade (EOG)/Milestones Testing Information
Students in grades six through eight will be assessed with End of Grade (EOG) assessments in English Language Arts and Mathematics, and students in grade eight will also be assessed in Science and Social Studies.
The purpose of these assessments is to measure how well students have mastered the state-adopted content standards. The majority of each assessment will still include selected response items (multiple choice); however, constructed response and extended response questions will be included in the English Language Arts and Mathematics sections.
Cobb County teachers and students have been working all year to ensure that students are prepared to take these grade level assessments. Preparations have included teaching students to answer more complex questions and to provide supporting evidence.
Students will take these assessments following the schedule below. Please ensure that your student arrives on time to school during the administration window.
