Target

The Cobb County School District adheres to the rules and regulations established by the Georgia Department of Education for identification and service of gifted learners. Gifted services are provided at all grade levels and are designed to meet the specific academic needs of gifted students by emphasizing the following competencies: 

• Critical and creative thinking 
• Higher order reasoning 
• Extensive and advanced research skills 
• Advanced and accelerated academics 

At Green Acres Elementary gifted identified students have established a recycling program for the entire school, raised money to help animals injured in the Australian bush fires, and won the Stock Market Game for our Congressional District both times we have entered the contest. Our emphasis on service learning is as important as our commitment to academic and social-emotional growth.
