Cobb Schools’ Athlete of the Week (AOW) program is a weekly recognition of male and female student-athletes performing at high levels in their sport, classroom, and school communities. The program is made possible by support from BSN Sports.

This week’s winners are juniors from Harrison and Kennesaw Mountain. Chaya Henry plays volleyball for the Hoyas and Kobe Lewis plays football for the Mustangs.

Chaya Henry, Volleyball, Harrison

A talented student and multi-sport athlete, Chaya is having a standout junior season on the volleyball court. She has a season hitting average of .253 and averages 1.9 kills per set. She also leads the Lady Hoyas in blocks with 42. She is a leader by example and viewed highly by her teammates as one of the hardest workers on the floor. Chaya is also a member of Harrison's Psychology Club.

"She is a calm, confident leader and always tries to do the right thing," said Chaya's coach Kristina Johnson. "She strives to do her best and contribute in any way possible to the team."

"Chaya is positive and uplifting. She is the kind of kid that every coach dreams of having on the team. She is hard-working, kind, and fun to be around," Coach Johnson concluded about her Athlete of the Week.
