Harrison is committed to providing the safest educational environment possible. To that end, we have established the Campus Safety Committee (CSC) so that administration, faculty, campus police, parents, and students can discuss all concerns about community members’ physical and mental safety.

Initiatives:

1.    Campus Safety Talks – administrators and counselors visit classrooms to talk to students about their role in helping keep our campus safe.

2.    Drug Awareness Assemblies – we recruited representatives from High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) and the Jack O’Kelley Foundation to speak with students about current trends in drug use in the United States to educate them about the

       dangers of recreational drug use.

3.    Social Media Informational Night – we are planning to host an informational meeting for parents and students about responsible use of social media given some concerning trends and data in our society.

Membership:

The CSC is comprised of two administrators, both campus officers, one counselor, three teachers, two parents, and two students.
