"I can't say enough good things about this year's group of student-athletes," said Cobb's Director of Athletics, Don Baker. "In an era when the NCAA transfer portal and NIL [Name, Image, and Likeness] deals have made college opportunities more competitive, Cobb’s student-athletes continue to stand out. Thanks to the collective efforts of our athletes, coaches, and teachers in prioritizing academics, our students are earning opportunities that many high school athletes across the country did not receive this year."

At the end of each school year, the Georgia Athletic Directors Association (GADA) recognizes the top-performing athletic programs across the state. This prestigious award, known as the Regions Bank Director's Cup, recognizes athletic departments in all GHSA classifications that have excelled and shown superior performance.

For the second year in a row, and the tenth time in its school's history, Walton has won the GADA Director's Cup in the highest classification in the state. Walton's athletic program demonstrated remarkable consistency, earning points in 84% of the activities they participated in—the highest percentage of all Cobb Schools.
