Mr. Ellis is entering his fourth year here at Harrison where he serves as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. Before joining the Harrison family as an assistant principal, Mr. Ellis spent fourteen years as a teacher and coach at Hillgrove High School. He has taught all academic levels but has spent most of his career teaching AP Human Geography. Mr. Ellis has also been a baseball coach, where he was part of six region titles and two state runner-up appearances. Mr. Ellis was named the assistant coach of the year in 2019 and served as athletics coordinator and FCA sponsor at his previous school.
Mr. Ellis is a lifelong West Cobb resident being born and raised in Powder Springs. He attended McEachern High School, where he played baseball and later accepted a baseball scholarship to Shorter University where he received his bachelor’s degree. He has since earned his master’s and specialist degrees at Piedmont University.
Mr. Ellis and his wife Christina have two girls: Averi (10) and Ansley (8). He and his family love being a part of Hoya Nation!
