This is Mrs. Poole’s 20th year at Harrison and her 30th year in public education. She has served as a teacher of mathematics in the Sandy Springs, Marietta, and Harrison communities. Originally from Thomasville, Georgia, Mrs. Poole earned her bachelor of science in secondary education with a concentration in mathematics from Valdosta State University in 1989. She moved to Atlanta upon graduation and has called Marietta home for 30 years. She earned a master's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Georgia State University in 1998, completed her specialist in educational administration and policy from the University of Georgia in 2018, and is currently working on her doctorate in educational leadership from Kennesaw State University. While at Harrison, she has taught numerous math courses, and for three years, served as head varsity basketball cheerleading coach. She is married to Greg Poole, a Cobb County native, who serves as a Cobb County Superior Court judge. She has two stepsons, Alan and Robert Poole, and three children, Zach, Mary Brittain, and Jacob Harden. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with family and friends and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
