Arrival
Buses arrive at school from 7:15 to 7:40 AM. For safety and security reasons, students and parents are not allowed in the building until the bell rings at 7:15 am. Breakfast is served from 7:15 – 7:45 AM so our leaders can be in class on or before 7:50 AM. Students who arrive between 7:15 – 7:45 AM either go to breakfast or directly to their classroom.
After the 7:50 AM bell, each day begins with the "Whooo News" or morning announcements led by the news team that is comprised of our 4th and 5th grade Hollydale Leaders.
Morning Arrival by Car
Please have your students remain in the car until doors open at 7:15 am. Students should exit on the building side of the car, onto the sidewalk. You are welcome to park and walk your child into the building or to the cross walk. Please do not let students exit in the parking lot unless they are accompanied by a parent in the building. In order to keep our students safe, we ask that you stay in line rather than driving around cars.
Bus
Bus Routes and information can be found on the Cobb County District Bus Page. This year, the district will be utilizing the Edulog Parent Portal to help track your student's bus and make adjustments to your student's bus information. For more info on Edulog, please click here.
Dismissal
On regular school days, the school day ends at 2:15 pm. On Early Release Days, the school day ends at 12:20 pm.
We kindly ask you to make appointments in the afternoon. This keeps our leaders in class and learning. If you need to check out your child, you must do so prior to 1:45. From 1:45 until 2:10 our office closes to safely dismiss our students.
In order to help our dismissal run smoothly each day, you will need to set up your student's afternoon transportation in ParentVue by the end of the first week of school. For instructions on how to set up your student's dismissal click here.
It's probable you may need to change your child's transportation during the day at some point. When this happens, we ask that the enrolling adult make these changes in ParentVue by 1:35 PM each day. Do not message or email teachers during the day for a dismissal change as they are teaching. Changes in transportation can only be accepted through ParentVue. We cannot change your child's transportation via email or phone.
Afternoon Dismissal by Car
We begin dismissal by car at 2:15 pm on regular school days (12:30 pm for Early Release Days). Please have your student's barcode up and ready to be scanned by our staff. If you have multiple students, you must have a barcode for each student.
Afternoon Dismissal of Walkers
We begin dismissal for walkers at 2:15 pm.
After-School Program
It's highly recommended you enroll your child in ASP. Please see more information regarding this process under ASP. Students are sent to ASP when they've been registered before hand and have a credit of at least one day ($10.00). It is a prepaid program and students are not allowed to attend without proper registration and funds. To enroll your student, visit the Eleyo Portal.
