Arrival Procedures

The school doors open at 7:10 am.

The school day begins promptly at 7:50 am.

Bus:

Please ensure that you arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes before the bus arrival time. For real-time bus locations and updates, download the app: Here Comes the Bus.

Car Riders:

For the safety of our children and our Kennesaw families, please follow the instructions of the crossing guard, school staff members, and directional signs as you make your way through the car line on the side of the school.

Dismissal Procedures:

The school day ends at 2:10 pm. For the safety and security of our students, all afternoon transportation changes must be completed prior to 1:40 pm each day through Parent Vue. We will not be able to accept transportation changes during the school day by phone, email or fax. If a student is riding the bus for the first time, he or she must report to the front office with the parent or a note from the parent to receive a bus pass.

Once you have set your default transportation in Parent Vue, be sure to select your emergency transportation. Emergency transportation is the way in which your child will go home in the event of a school, county or state emergency.

Directions for setting up afternoon preferences:

• Log into ParentVue

• Select Student Information

• Select Dismissal Changes

• Select View Change and After School Dismissal

• Set default choices

Bus:

Please ensure that you arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes before the bus arrival time. For real-time bus locations and updates, download the app: Here Comes the Bus.

Students 8 years old and younger may be brought back to their school in the afternoon if a parent, guardian or parent/guardian designee is not present at the bus stop to receive them or if they otherwise appear to have no appropriate supervision.

Car Riders:

Students will be brought to their cars at 2:10 pm.  Parents need to have a designated car rider tag.

• New this year: Every student will receive a car rider tag with a bar code on it. In order for your child to be dismissed through the car rider line, you MUST show the bar code to be scanned. If you cannot present the bar code, you will be required to park, bring in identification, and pick up your child from the front office.

• We will provide you with one tag with a bar code on it. You can copy it to share with trusted adults that you think may need to pick up your child. The enrolling adult can also pull up the bar code on ParentVue and show it on your phone or print a new copy.

For the safety of our children and Kennesaw families, please follow the instructions of the crossing guard, school staff members, and directional signs as you make your way through the car line on the side of the school.

Walkers:

Walkers will be released from the left doors of the school to their designated guardians at 2:10 pm.
